How much does shipping cost?
USPS Ground Advantage shipping is FREE for all orders in the continental United States. Faster shipping by USPS Priority Mail, USPS Priority Mail Express, and shipping to Hawaii and Alaska are available with shipping rates calculated by the USPS based on the package size/weight and delivery location. You can calculate your shipping cost and select an option by inputting your state, city and zip code at checkout, before you place your order.
How long will it take to receive my order?
Total time to receive your order includes order creation time and shipping time. Nearly all Gilded Shadows Bridal creations are made to order based on your selections (color, length, comb selection, etc.). Below are typical processing times by item category. Special requests and custom orders will take longer, and we will communicate with you about estimated delivery times.
Typical Creation Times
- Birdcage and Blusher Veils: 1-3 business days
- Draped, Cap and Traditional (long) Veils: 5-7 business days
- Garters: 1-3 business days
- Feather Fascinators: 5-7 business days
- Cake Toppers: 1-3 business days for a single item, 3-5 business days for up to 10 items, please contact us for estimated delivery if your order is more than 10 items.

Do you accept rush orders?
Yes, we do our best to accommodate rush orders within reason. Please contact us BEFORE you order to confirm that we can process and ship your order in time for your event.
Where do you ship to?
We ship to all 50 U.S. states using the United States Postal Service. We do not currently ship internationally.
How is sales tax calculated?
Sales tax is calculated automatically at order checkout based on current local, state, and federal tax laws for your shipping address. Taxes will be shown along with the shipping cost at checkout before you place your order.
How do I track my order once it ships?
Once your order ships, you will receive a shipping confirmation email from USPS that includes a link to track your package. Tracking will become available 24–48 hours after you receive your shipment confirmation email.
Can I return or exchange an item?
We want you to be completely happy! If you have a Gilded Shadows item that you purchased from options available on our website, and it's in NEW condition (never worn, undamaged, and in the original packaging), you can return it within 30 days of receipt for a full refund. Return shipping is your responsibility.
Custom designs that you work with us to create are made just for you and cannot be returned.
If you have a problem with your order (incorrect item, color, fit, etc.) or it is damaged when you receive it, please contact us as soon as possible and we will do everything we can to make it right in time for your event.
Can I cancel my order?
We understand that sometimes mistakes happen. We also process orders quickly, so we ask that you request a cancellation within 2 hours of purchase if it’s between the hours of 7 am and 5 pm, Central Standard Time. If you place an order after 5 pm, please request a cancellation by 7 am the next morning.
